Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is included with uniform?: The BYBSA Rec Softball uniform includes a jersey, pants and socks.
  • What equipment is needed?: Every player will need their own glove, cleats, heart guard, and water bottle. We highly recommend that all players purchase their own batting helmet, fielding mask, bat and bat bag.
  • When will we be contacted by our coach?: Coaches will reach out to the players on their teams by March 23rd to let you know when and where they will be practicing and other important info about the season.
  • Where will practices be?: Teams will practice at one of the city parks or schools in Brighton, Henderson, Thornton or Commerce City.
  • When will teams practice?: Teams will practice 2 times per week. Practices can be Monday-Friday between 5pm-9pm or anytime on Saturday & Sunday depending on what works best for coach.
  • When can teams start practicing?: BYBSA Rec teams will be able to start practicing as early as March 30th.
  • How long will practices be?: Practices will be 1-1/2 hour long
  • How many games will be played?: Teams will play 8-16 regular season games depending on age. Top 4-6 teams in each division will play in a double elimination EOS Tournament. End of Season Tournament is not included in 8U Registration
  • Where will games be played?: Games will be played in Brighton, Ft. Lupton, Strasburg, Commerce City and other front range cities
  • When will games be played?: Games will be played 1 or 2 nights per week starting the first week of May.
  • When is the End of Season Tournament?: The IPGSA Rec Softball EOS Tournament will be played on June 27th & 28th in Niwot & Longmont. Only the top 4-6 teams in each division will qualify to play in the IPGSA EOS Tournament. 8U teams can pay to play in the IPGSA EOS Tournament
  • Team Pictures: The BYBSA will work with Champ Photography to take team and player pictures. Date and time TBD.
