Frequently Asked Questions
  • What is included with uniform?: The BYBSA Rec Baseball uniform includes a jersey, pants and a hat. You will need to purchase your own socks and belt.
  • What equipment is needed?: Every player will need their own glove, cleats, heart guard, protective cup and water bottle. We highly recommend that all players purchase their own batting helmet, bat and bat bag.
  • When will we be contacted by our coach?: Coaches will reach out to the players on their teams by March 23rd to let you know when and where they will be practicing and other important info about the season.
  • Where will practices be?: Teams will practice at one of the city parks or schools in the Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson and Ft. Lupton area or in one of our Indoor Practice Facilities in Brighton.
  • When will teams practice?: Teams will practice 2 times per week. Practices can be Monday-Friday between 5pm-9pm or anytime on Saturday & Sunday depending on what works best for coach.
  • When can teams start practicing?: BYBSA Rec teams will be able to start practicing as early as March 30th.
  • How long will practices be?: Outdoor Practices will be 1-1/2 hour long and indoor practices will be 1 hour long.
  • How many games will be played?: Teams will play 10 regular season games plus a minimum of 3 games at the BYBSA Rec Baseball End of Season Tournament.
  • Where will games be played?: Games can be played in Brighton, Ft. Lupton, Thornton, Commerce City and Hyland Hills
  • When will games be played?: Games will be played 1 night per week starting the week of April 20th. 2 games will be played on Saturday, May 30th or Sunday, May 31st as part of the BYBSA Day at the Park
  • When is the End of Season Tournament?: The BYBSA Rec Baseball EOS Tournament will be played on June 27th-June 29th in Brighton, Commerce City, Thornton, Ft. Lupton and Hyland Hills. The Championship games for all divisions playing in the BYBSA Rec League End of Season Tournament "Night of Champions" will be played at fields in Brighton on Monday, June 29th at 7pm
  • Team Pictures: The BYBSA will work with Champ Photography to take team and player pictures. Date and times TBD
